Our Story
Meet Dr. Blake

Dr. Blake Overly | Kansas City Chiropractor
I’m Dr. Blake Overly, owner and chiropractic physician at Northland Spine and Rehabilitation. I grew up in the Northland of Kansas City and have lived in Clay County my entire life. Being able to build my practice and care for patients in the same community that raised me has been incredibly rewarding.
I attended the University of Missouri–Columbia for my undergraduate education before earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2008. In 2011, I opened Northland Spine and Rehabilitation at our current Kansas City location with the goal of providing honest, personalized chiropractic care to families throughout the Northland.
For more than a decade, I’ve had the opportunity to help patients from Kansas City, Gladstone, Liberty, North Kansas City, Parkville, Smithville, Kearney, and other surrounding communities. I’m grateful for the relationships I’ve built with my patients and for the trust local families have placed in our office over the years.
My approach to patient care is straightforward Listen carefully, communicate honestly, and treat every patient the way I would want a member of my own family to be treated. I believe patients should understand what is causing their symptoms, what their options are, and how the recommended care can help them reach their goals.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two children. We’re passionate Kansas City sports fans and can usually be found cheering on the Chiefs, Royals, and all things Mizzou. I try to get out on the golf course whenever time allows, although most days are spent at work and most evenings are spent at Little League ball fields or dance studios.
Kansas City and the Northland have always been home to me, and I’m proud to serve the community where I grew up. Whether you’re a longtime patient or visiting Northland Spine and Rehabilitation for the first time, I look forward to getting to know you and helping you get back to the activities and people that matter most.

The Team Behind Your Care

Meet Karissa | Office Coordinator
Meet Karissa, the welcoming face and Office Coordinator at Northland Spine and Rehabilitation! Raised in Kansas, Karissa studied Fine Art at UMKC before bringing her organizational talents to our team.
She’s been married to her husband, David, for 23 years and together they love working on home projects and cheering on their daughter, who is pursuing her passion at the Dobbins Conservatory at SEMO.
She’s been keeping our office running smoothly for more than 7 years, but when she’s not at work you can find Karissa with a good book, tending to her garden, or enjoying a local theatre production.
